Fort Worth Mountain Bikers' Association

(A Non-Profit Organization)

Mission Statement
The Fort Worth Mountain Bikers' Association's (FWMBA) purpose is to promote mountain biking and all the health and welfare benefits associated with this sport for the benefit of the general public. As Fort Worth's International Mountain Biking Association's (IMBA) affiliated club, our focus is to work with public landowners and/or managers to gain land access to build and maintain sustainable hiking and biking trails via it's volunteer members. FWMBA promotes safety and the courteous use of trails through educational programs and introducing new cyclists to the importance of responsible riding with an emphasis on off-road mountain biking. FWMBA's goal is to be a positive role model in the promotion of club meetings, club rides and trail workdays. We will also host clinics for all levels of riding skills enhancement particularly children and beginner level riders. FWMBA will provide instructional workshops on techniques of building and maintaining sustainable hiking and biking trails in a responsible and environmentally sound manner. The operation, construction and maintenance of FWMBA built trails shall be performed by volunteer efforts for the benefit of the community and are open to the public for use in accordance with IMBA Rules of the Trail guidelines.
